A model that was photographed by Andrew Wilson Studios had sent some of her photos to an out of state agency that told told her that before they signed her,  she would have to pay for a comp card and for a $250.00 photo shoot.  The photographer that they set her up with was not a professional fashion photographer but was the daughter of one of the people running the agency.  They told her that the money for the shoot would come out of her first job, which is supposed to be a hair runway show in Atlanta.  They also told her that they would take 20% of the money that she made from each modeling job booked…….She was worried.

My response to her was…. ” Unfortunately, the agency that you went to is not a legitimate agency because legitimate agencies do not have their own photographer and do charge you fees.   Legitimate agencies will give you a list of recommended photographers, in most cases have online portfolio comps and make money on you only when they book you.”
